Iām Lawrence Luo
Now a grad student in Carnegie Mellon University entertainment technology center master program, and being a lead 3D artist for different projects with diverse skills. Art serves as a way of expression for me, and game art emerges as a great platform for fulfilling true human desires. I believe that making immersive, captivating, and purposeful game & film art stands at the top of the entertainment art industry. I strike to contribute my passion and skills into this dynamic field.
Originally from China, with 5 years college experience in United States till now, my past fostering a deep cross-cultural influence that continually enrich my artistic inspiration. Along with the ethos of continual learning and exploration, I will always try to push the boundaries of my creative pursuits. Also as gamer at heart, I am proud of in my gaming experience and the insights gained from these period.
My Career So Far and Goals
During last few years I have internship experience as a VR 3D artist, 3D Generalist, and teaching assistant for 3D art classes. After academic years my goal is to be a 3D environment artist for game and film and provide hardsurface props, LookDev development, and contribute to either rendered CG scene and realtime interactive game environment for projects.
Back to undergrad I was in Syracuse University Design Studies (B.S) major. I have class experience in both Interior Design and Design Research, which is also worth mentioning since they provide me solid 3D software usages and understanding of researches.
